Student Programs

Instrumental Music

Every year Westbury Primary School offers students from Grade 3 – 6 the opportunity to learn a musical instrument through the school band program. This program is supported financially by Tasmanian Alkaloids. That support allows students to have tuition at very competitive rates.

Westbury encourages students to participate in extra curricula activities such as the Mathematics Association of Tasmania Maths Relay and Readers’ Cup. In 2018 Westbury Primary School were successful in winning the annual Readers’ Cup competition.

Sport plays a big part in Westbury. Students annually compete at the Tasmanian All Schools Cross Country and Basketball Tasmania’s Primary School Tournament.
